How does Veronica keep up with all the changes in our digital revolution age, and how does she manage understanding and incorporating Artificial Intelligence into what she does? We managed to grab her for a quick interview to pick her brains!

What inspired you to incorporate AI into your business operations, and what were your initial goals?

The inspiration to incorporate AI into our business operations stemmed from a desire to leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer experience. As an entrepreneur deeply ingrained in the digital landscape, I recognised the transformative potential of AI in revolutionising traditional business practices.

Our initial goals were twofold: to streamline processes and workflows, and to deliver more personalised and impactful experiences to our clients and audience. By harnessing the power of AI, we aimed to stay ahead of the curve and set new standards of innovation in our industry.

I always have in mind the original purpose of Brilliant-Online Magazine, which is to Push for a Better World in a Digital Era. It's about helping our business communities reach new audiences or engage with existing stakeholders to have their stories heard. Especially having experienced so many challenging situations here in Australia with bushfires, floods and COVID, I see businesses supporting one another to lift everyone out and up. AI and the Digital Revolution is not just for 'the big boys'. Small businesses can also thrive with the help of AI.

How do you foster a culture of innovation and experimentation to continuously optimise AI applications within your organisation?

Fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation is paramount to our approach at Brilliant-Online Magazine. Brilliant-Online won the Excellence in Innovation Award at the 2023 Wauchope & Hinterland Business Awards. We encourage a mindset of curiosity, creativity, and fearlessness, where team members are empowered to explore new ideas and challenge the status quo. To continuously optimise AI applications, we prioritise ongoing learning and professional development, providing resources and support for upskilling in AI-related disciplines.

We prioritise transparency, fairness, and accountability in our AI initiatives, adhering to ethical guidelines and industry best practices.

By integrating AI into our long-term strategy, we position ourselves for sustainable growth and success while staying true to our core values.

What advice would you give to other businesses looking to integrate AI into their operations?

My advice to integrate AI into their operations is to approach the process with a clear vision, strategic mindset, and commitment to continuous learning. Start by defining clear objectives and identifying specific areas where AI can drive value and efficiency within your organisation. Invest in building a strong foundation of data infrastructure and talent, ensuring you have the necessary resources and expertise to support AI initiatives effectively.

Additionally, prioritise ethical considerations and ensure that AI solutions align with your company's values and long-term goals. Embrace a culture of experimentation and iteration, recognising that AI implementation is an ongoing journey of learning and refinement.
