The 41st Beechwood Billy Cart Derby Article

Sunday 23 October (POSTPONED TO 27TH NOVEMBER), Mt Pappinbarra, at 422/424 Pappinbarra Rd, West Frazers Creek.

See the village of Beechwood come alive. The day kicks off at 9am with market stalls and kids activities. Then the carts race down the 5km mountain course that takes in both Pappinbarra and Beechwood Road at 11am. It all starts on Mt Pappinbarra, at 422/424 Pappinbarra Rd, West Frazers Creek.

#LoveLocal Festival

Saturday, 19 November from 2.00pm - 6.00pm in Bain Park, Wauchope

Hosted by Wauchope Chamber of Commerce & Industry, #LoveLocal Festival is a new, exciting celebration of local businesses in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region and they are on the lookout for local businesses to be involved and have a display, food truck, demonstration or trade stall at the festival. This is part of the Hastings Made & Grown Campaign to celebrate produce and products that are made in the Hastings area.


Businesses can register their interest if they would like a trade stall.




Desley Polmear Book Launch - "Stories Around the Kitchen Table"

Friday 25th November, 10.30 am

Desley’s writing group sat around the kitchen table and wrote some short stories. The book will be launched at the Port Macquarie library. The mayor, Peta Pinson will be opening the launch.
