✦ The 2023 Wauchope and Hinterland saw businesses large and small take part in this annual celebration of local business put on by the Wauchope Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc (WCCI).
Saturday, June 17 marked the Awards Gala Dinner at Wauchope RSL. With a full house the evening announced 50 Awards recipients across 27 categories. There are two types of Awards categories: Local Awards and Business NSW Aligned Awards.
Winnings submissions for the Aligned categories are streamlined to the Business NSW Regional Awards. Winners at Regionals go on to the State Awards to be held in Sydney later in the year.
The awards are an opportunity for businesses to gain recognition and exposure for their business and are also a way to become part of a community of like-minded individuals, who share one common goal - success.
Award Categories
Two types of award categories were contested by local business, the Local Awards and Business NSW aligned awards.
“The alignment of the Awards helps local businesses achieve greater recognition and showcase our region as a great place to do business,” said Lisa McPherson, WCCI Executive Officer.
“Taking part in the Awards program gives local businesses operators the opportunity to reflect on their business journey and celebrate with their team,” she added.
“While not everyone can win an award on the night, the Awards recognise all local businesses and the contributions they make to our regional lifestyle. We thank everyone who entered and hope to see more businesses participate next year,” said Lisa.
