Ellen Briggs and Mandy Nolan shattered the Glasshouse Port Macquarie during the run of their show Women Like Us. We had a Brilliant time trying to catch our breath as Ellen and Mandy brought their hilarious take on politics, family life, health and sexuality. We were passing tissues around because we were all laughing so hard!
We spoke to Mandy briefly after the show and it was fascinating to know that what they said at the show was actually not scripted! They had a form to follow but they also very much built up their lines based on the energy from the audience. They may engineer or skew the conversations based on the vibes they get as the audience is different every night. It keeps their show fresh and exciting even for them!
We had a great time identifying and laughing along with Ellen and Mandy's experiences, their reflections on motherhood, snoring husbands, and a myriad of married and family life foibles. Laugh-out-loud honest and astute, Ellen and Mandy could more than jiggle your funny bone. Highly recommended for the broad-minded.
